Kova Finance had grown past its early-stage brand, and investors struggled to see how it differed from a dozen similar apps. We sharpened the story, rebuilt the pitch and refreshed the identity ahead of its Series A.

The challenge
Kova’s product helped small businesses forecast cash flow, but the brand still spoke like a budgeting app for students. Investors liked the numbers and forgot the name. The fundraising round was eight weeks away.
- Positioning that sounded like every other finance app
- A pitch deck built around features, not outcomes
- An identity designed before the product found its market
Our approach
We started with customer calls and found the line that stuck: Kova tells owners what next month looks like. That became the positioning, the headline of the deck and the organising idea of the refreshed identity. We simplified the logo, introduced a forecast chart as a graphic device and rewrote the deck so every slide answered one investor question.

For the first time, investors repeated our pitch back to us.
The results
Kova closed its Series A four months later, and the new positioning now leads every sales conversation.
- Series A closed four months after launch
- 31% higher trial-to-paid conversion
- 12 slides, down from 34
